Infinity Basslink II Problem

Hi, I have been trying to get my basslink's to work for days now but for some odd reason it's not getting any power. The Power LED and servo light on the basslink's don't even light up, but I know I am getting power to them(i've checked with a volt meter to see if any power was going through and sure enough there was 12.4 volts). There was some white haze on the 25 amp fuse but the connection was not broken.

Before I connected the power/remote/ground to the basslink I went and got some reading. (car off)

Power: 12.4 volts
Remote: 0 volts
Ground: 12.4 volts

After I connected the power/remote/ground to the basslink everything tanked except Remote. (Car on)

Power: 1 volt
Remote: about 12 volts
Ground: 1 volt

Is there something wrong with the Basslinks or am I not installing it correctly. Thanks in advanced.

I'm just saying when power and ground are both connected I get around 12.4 volts. I thought it was the ground but after grounding it to 3 different areas (Rear seatbelt bolt, frame right behind seat, tapped into the factory ground right behind the cig. lighter) of the car. I kind of figured it might not be the ground. Thanks for bring this thread back I still haven't found out why it's not working

Power: From + terminal of battery.

Remote: To + of accessories outlet/ Cig. outlet ( I want to keep my factory deck so that is why i have the remote wire to the cig. outlet.)

Ground: Rear Seatbelt bolt (middle one under rear seat)

take a couple of readings with your DMM for me, both with the car on and off. Place your black probe on a good ground seperate from where your basslink is grounded.
-Positive terminal
-Ground terminal
-Remote turn on terminal

Car on (Grounded to stock ground behind cig. outlet without power or remote wire connected to basslink):

Positive terminal: Around 4-5 volts (It's odd that it gives me such a low voltage but when I jiggle the fuse holder at the battery it goes back to 12.4 or so. Could it be that the fuse/fuse holder is bad?)
Ground terminal: About the same as positive, around 4-5 volts.
Remote turn on terminal: 12.4 volts

Car off (without power or remote wire connected to basslink[I'm just holding the positive probe on the wire):

Positive terminal: around 4-5 volts (after jiggle, goes back to 12.4)
Ground terminal: ^^ same as above.
Remote turn on terminal: 0 volts.

Even with 12.4 volts of power, after i connect both power and ground to the basslink it drops to .01 volts.

Sorry I'm writting back so late, just got home from work.

definatly a bad fuse/fuse holder. its giving just enough of a connection to test it, but as soon as any current is demanded it cant supply it. the ground is still bothering me. It shouldnt be reading any voltage at all, either on or off. Where is it grounded too?

Thanks dude! It's working now, I went out and bought a new fuse holder and fuse and now it's working great. So much sound from such a small package, I love it
