Passenger Speaker

So, I finally decided it was time to replace my speakers. I thought my passenger side one had blown or something. I hooked up my new speakers to it and surprise, no sound. Nothing. I guess it's the wires or something, unless y'all can think of anything else. I'm thinking about just rewiring those wires, and see how that goes. Or maybe I'll just amp them. I dunno. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How did you mount the new speaker in the door? I drilled mine in, and somehow the magnet from the speaker touching the door disabled it (no sound). So I wrapped some foam around it and it works, dunno if this is the case with you however.

ya did you use a spacer? have you rolled down the window and had it get stuck? most speaker needs 1 inch spacer to fit properly.

no, everythings fine. Today I hooked it up to an amp just for giggles, and the speaker works fine. I guess it's the wires coming from the HU where I can't see. Would y'all suggest running new wires, cause I really am not sure about running my speakers off my amp. Just too much trouble.

I just finished hooking up my speakers to the amp. I found an old 4 channel amp laying around and it'll do for the time being, esp. when I get my new infinity tweeters Thanks for all y'alls help. Oh yeah, I did use the spacer, I also put some dynamat in. I just drilled new holes for the speakers. It sounds really good. I'm running a Rockford Fosgate P2 10 and then the Infinity 6021(I think) they're the reference series.
