I just came back from the local car audio/video etc store.
and I asked about what I needed for it, and he said I shouldnt get a carputer cuz u can't read the text good enough on a 7" in dash screen, is this true ? is the text hard to read and all ?

Its a 7" screen! It will be fine. You only sit about 1 ft away from it. Search this site for "carputer" because I know that there are at least 3 or 4 people on this site that have done it already and have pics

i haven't had many problems reading stuff, it's not bad. how much reading can you do on a carputer anyways? i dont think you'll be online browsing forums all day with it, mainly a good front end w/skin is good.

i think what he means is small text like on the internet, everything else is fine. for front ends, and everything else. you can also change font sizes. i run 800x600 on mine, no problems.

i have a car pc. You will not be able to read text on RCA In screens. Thats why everyone who has Car PC's has 7'' monitor w/ VGA INPUT. they sell for about$200-250 on ebay. check 7'' touch screen VGA. Get Lilliput or Xenarc preferably. Tview works fine too. But you cant read text on RCA In, i know I have 6 RCA IN screens and one VGA In. Video is fine on all them, its just text you cant see on RCA IN screens

and he actually ment all text even for shen wearching for a song and looking at song titles ad so, but I think he ment an RCA in screen then and I was talking about a VGA in screen lol.

now another question, where did you guys mount ur computers in your civic ? cuz I have no idea where to put it in ma coupe except for the trunk and I dont wanna be going all the way back to insert some other dvd or so.

Sorry for asking so much, but I really dont see how to get it all wired :/
