stock clutch....

Anyone else on boost/nitrous extreamly impressed with how much the stock clutch holds? I have about 40000 miles on my 04 (I put them all on there) and all the miles have been hell on the clutch. I never really have babied my car and I sprayed a 75 shot all of last year and have had my turbo kit on a few months now at 12 psi and the stock clutch is still grabbin. I can deff feel that it is not holding as well going into 2nd and 3rd but it still grabs enough where im spinning. Just wondering if anyone else has had really good luck wiht there clutch.

In a week or 2 ill be ordering a xtd stage 3 off ebay or something like that maybe a fly wheel too. any other suggestions on a clutch?

Im not boosted but I believe the act street or one of the exedys is right up your ally. Def get a new flywheel, you could have your old one resurfaced, but you could just spend that money towards a new one. Prob the act 11lb would be a good choice.
I really dont have much experiance, listen to the experts...LOL

I'm not boosted, but ive got a SPEC stage 2 and am very happy with it. My roommate IS boosted and he went with a SPEC stage 3 and has no problems at all. As for the flywheel, im using a Fidanza 7lb flywheel. I have no problems with it, just got wind the motor up to about 2000 or more to get a good launch with it.

edit: O and you'll prolly get some rattle with the 6 puck, but from what i understand from the roomie, thats normal.

CIVIC X3 is on a distinguished road
i heard that for boosting, the stock flywheel is better, and for n/a motor a lighter flywheel is better..jus my suggestion.

boosted motors do better with the heavier flys. id say stick with stock or get a streetlite. clutchwise i have no input, im looking for a new one myself.

i dont know if i can handle the harsh engagement of a stage 3 clutch in my daily driver. im most likely just going with a heavy duty.

if you want to use the warranty on the clutch, you have to get a new flywheel or resurface the oem - it takes about 10 mins to do at a shop, same as turning rotors. without it, you cant have the clutch covered.

do you think stage 3 is overkill? it will be a pain in the *** to drive on the street with the rough engagement and pedal pressure. most stage 1 for civics hold about 215 ft. lbs easily. i have an exedy organic and its rated at 205ft 205 hp.

I think it all depends on the driver . I have 65000 miles and sprayed for a year and it is still going strong with no slipping at all.

a stage 3 clutch sounds like a big overkill for a street driven car.

thats the only thing i dont like about aftermarket clutches, they slip on you when they are not suppose to, they dont last long.... i would like a clutch that will last long and it heavy duty, any suggestion guys?

You should always resurface the flywheel.

D3xn2o has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Anyone know if they make a center force for our car?

That would be what i want... engage like a stock clutch.... but under a load the weights on the pressure plates fingers make it grip hard..... meaning under launch condition grip like a stage 3 - 4 ..... Daily driving.... no launch condition.... smooth as hell...... I want one now!!!
