get a spdt (3way), connect the common terminal of the switch to the red Headunit wire (acc.), then connect one of the other terminals to the ignition wire from the car, and the other terminal to constant 12V +. when the switch will be one way, it will run normally with the key, but when you flip it the other way, it will be on no matter if key is in or not.
do i have to cut the wires on the harness or can i just tap into them with like a blue line tapper where it strips the wire and the 2 connect without cutting id i have to cut them what ends do i need 2 attach 2 the switch im thinkin about it and tapin would pob work cuz you still get the power right so its basically and red and yellow for with the key and red and 12v for allways on what gauge wire is usually used 2
forget it i did it allready i just tap the yellow and red wires and but them on a switch switch on radio on switch on turns on like normal

ya it works like that too, but it's not the right way to do it cause now your feeding your red wire with power when car is off and you turn on the switch, so maybe it's sending power to other places, that are not supposed to have power when off, check your power outlet (lighter), that maybe getting power when switch is on
