2k4coupe is an unknown quantity at this point
would of been nice if it was a d17 feature not d16

Alot of people will tell you that the dis is much better than the distributor system for timing purposes.

d16's are much easier and cheaper to build/tune than the d17. Because it has been around longer the parts are more availble. and you can alos run obd-1 on them, which means you can just chip the computer and tune it with a custom map. much cheaper than gogin EMS or even emanage. My neighbor has an allmotor 220(ish)whp d16z, cost about $2000 to build includeing clutch and axel upgrades.

damn...nice car...nicer if it was a d17....there've been a few 350+ hp d16s running around, but it's not uncommon to see them breaking the 300 hp barrier and still being reliable. and it's getting easier since most of the trial and error testing has been done by others...

Most of them require an obd-0 conversion. Some standalones completely eliminate the entire obd system altogether.

^^true but an obd-0 conversion is $100 for a harness. most people i know running higher hp d16's are runnign crome tunned obd-1's. mainly cause they all go to my neighbor to chip thier computer.
