K20a3 or d17 turbo
K20a3 or d17 turbo
Hi,
westerday i go to a performance shop to know de price of a k20a3 complete swap. 3700 plus tax
and a turbo d17 is 3500 plus tax
But turbo don't include a performance clutch and a dont know how many time will last my clutch if go turbo.
i hesite between these two option because the price is almost the same and it's in my budget.
Thank to give me comment and your opinion.
Alex

well a d17 turbo would beat a stock k20a3 performance wise even only on low boost like 5psi, and your clutch would be fine. But the k20 has more possobilities and more reliable, I would go k20 imo speaking form a guy who is already done turbo and nitrious on thier d17.

i love boost more, but if i had had the option of doing a motor swap for the same cost of turbo, i wouldve done a k swap any day of the week. Your clutch will do just fine if you dont beat on it that much. Mine is holding up surprisingly well, but im saving money to get a new one towards the end of summer.

Depends man, if u just want a fast car go turbo u wont regret it. If u want to go really fast boost the a3 better yet get the a2. For a daily driving car i would go boost but for a pure race car go for the a3 or a2

now all motor k20 versus all motor d17 obviously u know who is going to win
now turbo k20 versus turbo d17 is no contest....
the only way for a d17 to keep up with a k20 is to go turbo d17... thats the only way a d17 can beat a stock k20...
now all a k20 gotta do is make some mild modifications and its will be up there with a high boost d17..
on the other hand.. once a k20 goes boost there is no contest there... lol
