hood lock problem

hood lock problem

my hood won't stay shot anymore...is this a fairly common civic problem (even though i couldn't find anything in search)?

take off hood latch and add washers before putting the latch back on where mounting holes are and it might help situation. I did a front end conversion and i had to add two washers for the top two mounting holes and one washer on bottom mounting hole. I had same problem with hood not wanting to stay closed

cool, will give it a shot. just replaced my hood lock yesterday, it stay shuts, but still doesn't stay "locked". i can simply pull it up with a little force. will try the washers thing.

Hey, you guys have a diy on adjusting the hood latch. I want to get my hood tighter w/o adjusting the rubber seats.
