You'll get more power out of a swap in the long run. For instance: I recently turbo'd my car (d17). Let's say you swap a k20 in there, now you have 165-185 hp compared to our d17's that only put out like 127hp or so......but if you were to turbo the k20 then you would be even faster. Understand?

Then again you would be out about $4000- etc...........but it would be a lot faster then just a turbo'd single cam. I chose the turbo route because I've always wanted to have a turbo'd car and got the kit for a price you wouldn't believe

I'd say turbo unless you feel like spending money

oh by the way nice screename, I have it as my license plate excpet it says 7gen....lol

welcome to the site. I have an 05 civic ex with a k20a swap. total costs were about 10g's.. honestly i kinda regret doing it.. should have went the turbo set up, cuz now you can find cam, rods, pistons, intake manifold, etc for the D17. The highest HP i have heard from a boosted D17 is 248 to the wheels. I am pushing 217 to the wheels with an all motor K20a. So its up to you. what u want to do. Good luck

haha, this threads hilarious, lol.

boost is more fun, IMO. but swap is more reliable......sometimes. Its all in tuning either way.
