transmission to engine block bolt size

transmission to engine block bolt size
Hey everyone. Well I just got my spare engine so I can build my block. The problem is I want to start taking the engine apart but before I do that I have to put it on the engine stand. My question is does anyone know the size bolt I need to connect the engine stand to where the transmission connects to the block. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

look it up in the manual. If not, go to the hardware store, pick up some 8, 10, and 12 mm bolts, its probably going to be one of those three. I can look it up when I get home, but I don't have the manual here.

Rep Power: 0 I wish I had a manual, really need one. I will have to go out and spend some money on all different size bolts. Hey boilermaker do you know if the D17a2manual tranny block is the same has the d17a2 automatic block. It's a stupid question I know but their both the same blocks just different transmissions right. Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 Well I got some 10mm ans some 12mm. 12mm fits but they thread in and then they stop so it's back to step one. I call my honda dealership and the guy said it's a 8x40 bolt. It can't be 8mm because I tried that. This ia such bull ****. I can order them from honda but the problem is they are probably too short because they have to go through the bracket for the engine stand.

Rep Power: 424 Per manual..... M12x1.25. Thats a FINE thread 12mm bolt. You won't find those ****ers at the hardware store, It figures they'd do something like that.
Try Mcmaster carr, or bend over at honda for the real ones.

Rep Power: 0 Well I went to my local honda dealership and after a half hour of browsing the computer we think we found the right ones. They are 12x70 bolts, yes they are fine thread. I should be getting them on wendsday. Thanks again boilermaker.
