i was talking to a guy i met today and he told me that he had a K20A2 for sale with tranny, axles, and 5-lug conversion from a rsx type s for $1000, the 5-lug i dont know for sure, but i tool a look at it and well the intake manifold is craked, and the other parts are just dusty. is this a good price, considering ill still need ecu, harness, etc.

sounds iffy. if the intake mani is cracked, it was probably pulled from a junkyard, where the rsx was taken after beingin a severe front end collision...

^ i agree with him bro... a motors everything. Don't mess around and just be careful if you're getting it. Take a good look at everything. You'll also need several other parts for the swap. might as well look for a full front clip.

i talked to a reputable swap shophttp://www.mainstreamperformance.comand they told me that it's a good deal, BUT i still need all the stuff that a front clip has for me, i basically need to get the clip rather than the the motor. saving me the hassle. MP, swwapped a K20a3 in a 7thgen back in july and they did a great job, i know the guy nad his car is getting faster slowly, mods coming as the checks come, but, he still wishes he'd rather waited for the K20a2.

Are you sure its a type S. The price seems about right for a base and really cheap for a type S. A type S motor goes for at least $3500-5000.

some guy here is selling a k20 for 500$ type s tranny and ecu and junk. i was like.. no way it can be that low and have nothing wrong with it. i say dont get it unless its your friend giving you a deal.

For the most part...if it's too good to be true, it probably is. But there's SOME exceptions of course, just be careful

its either bs or you are getting a crap motor. buy a good one; if you can't afford a K20 in good condition then surely you cannot afford to fix the crappy K20 you will buy for cheap.

well... if i were you buy the motor .. take it apart and sell it.. if the heads still good you can make your money back on that.... sell the block and pistons too
