Swap
Swap
Well I am finally dropping a K20A Type R motor in my 2005 Honda Civic EX coupe.
My swap is almost complete.. all i have left is the exhaust needs to be cut to fit the k-series header. Pics coming soon!

I raced him...about 15 times, hehe....
Once tuned/his other toy is in, it will be quicker. But Im starting my Stage 2 upgrade, so well see whats up. I expect around 350-400hp at the crank. Over 300whp/tq

I have the injen mega short ram (3.5" intake), I have K-pro already.. I am running Jackson Racing Race Header soon to be Toda Race Header and my exhaust is 2.5 all the way back. I also have unorthodox Racing pulleys.

153 tq at the flywheel vs his 185 tq at the wheel? the k24/k20 swap is cheaper and will give you better results under boost because of the compression ratio. I dont know how much boost you plan on running on pump gas on 11 to 1.
its not a bad thing....theres more power potential in the k20 because of the high rpm, but that takes a ton of money. if i were limited to a swap and a supercharger....id have the k24/k20 and shoot for 300 ft pounds

His car is gonna haul. I agree on the K24. I still will be buying a hatch for a K24 swap fully built turbo. Track only, and weekend night driver.
Michalo will smoke you right now. But it would be a damn good race after the SC is in. Than with my Stage 2 we'll hit up the freeway/track.
At Stage 1 I plan on over 250Whp/265Ft/lb. There is an awesome new EM that is plug/play. Adds 50whp/65ft/lb or so. That will be my only mod at first. engine management. No DP or cats removed yet. Once that is done (along with up/midpipe/exhaust), I should be around 300 w/a custom tune.
