How do i get the radio out of the dash?

I have unbolted the two srecwes behind the lower dash that attach to the radio frame, now what? I tried to pry the center console away from the dash but I'm afraid I'm gonna f up the dash or break the clips. Any tips? All I want to do is switch my LX radio with an EX radio I just purchase. Help.

where u took out the 2 screws you can feel the metal bracket right above there u can feel the radio bracket pull hard on the radio bracket and the HU will start to come out this is when it is good to have someone else to start to pull on the HU unit
but you can do it by urself! try that and see if it helps

When you take it all out, use lots of force and don't worry about loud snapping sounds. Scared the crap out of me when I installed all my audio equipment today....

The real question here is if u spent the money on an ex cd player why didnt u just buy an aftermarket one. as for getting it out. after u unscrew those two bolts that u already did. push the two AC vents on top DOWN...put ur 4 fingers there. place both thumbs in the lil space under the cdplayer, like the lil tray or something. and that will give the grip, go for one side at a time and then so on.

I Did mine last weekend. After taking the 2 screws out from the bottom, i used a screw driver with a towel wrapped around it and pryed around the console till it snapped out. It made a few small marks on the dash but most bounced back in a day. Looks fine now. I would suggest running a few RCA's and a remote turn on lead. That way if you want to add to it latter you don't have to do it all again.
