I was wondering who has a turbo 7thgen in norcal? I know crewchief has one but does anyone know anybody else with one? I would really to meet someone else with a turboed 7thgen to just check out their setup and other things like that.

boostedciviczex has one, however I believe he's currently deployed overseas.

Thats pretty much the only way you could get away with boosting your vic here, to have your car registered elsewhere. There are no carb-legal kits here, and Cali has some rough smog standards.....

All you have to do is take your turbo kit off once you need to smog it then once your done smogging it you can put it back on thats what I am gonna have to do once I need to smog my car this year.

Yea but if you get pulled over by the new task force they will ruin your day. I would not put any thing on your car that was not carb legal here other wise you risk alot.

take it from me! its not worth it! i got busted for not having a smog legal headers and the ticket was 1125.00 bucks! I also herd that there is no more fix-it tickets in ca anymore. so u can even get busted for window tint now and have to pay. a cop a couple weeks ago made my buddy pull his tint off right there. it was a fremont cop....

Well it’s a little late to not put the turbo on my car because it's been on it for about 1 1/2- 2 months now. As for the no fix-it tickets from what I understand reading some post in the clubrsx nor cal forum if you get pulled over for an illegal modification you can either pay the full fine and not fix what you got cited for or fix the illegal modification= go back to stock and take it to the state ref and get a pass you only pay minor fees. As long as you don't get cited for the same modification 3 times you are ok. My understanding may be way off on how the process goes so if anyone wants to read the same info I did and check to verify my info is right here is a link to the thread where I got all my info.

I just moved back to Cali. What's the deal with no front windows tinted? I got my back windows done but the guy was sayin the front windows will score you a ticket... any 1st hand experience?

This site was posted in the socal forum. Its the bar list of approved carb legal parts. There is a carb legal turbo for the 6th gen. So it is possible. Here is the site....btw you can reverse look up by parts i.e. headers/intakes/ etc etc.

Edit I am sure if one was to print the pages listed in the list of parts on your car that the cop will be alot less likely to give a fix it in the first place.

i have been to the ref and same with half my friends and they r actually pretty smart. They know there **** and its very hard to pass if ur turboed and unless its a greddy kit with carb number they told me u most likely wont pass. right now there isnt a greddy kit so....
