The problem has been solve

If you dont have an Idea what I'm Talking about click to these thread which I posted Last Feb 14

I'm starting to doubt my civic.

Well after spending 3 days of my car to the dealer they finally found what's the problem. But it took them awhile before they discover why is the engine is keep on dying which what so ever have no Idle speed. They said that the, "Idle Air Control Valve have failed. That's why there is no Idling speed. I'm just wondering that's a very dangerous thing to fail. You know why whenever you shift theres a chance you stall the engine cuz theres no idling speed and whenever you depress the clutch. The RPM drops to Idling speed but what happen if there is no ilding speed. You stall right. I think it gonna be worst when it happen to an Auto car. Cuz Auto transmission really depends on Idling speed specially uphill right. I just put 2000 miles on my car and that system failded already. I just really hope these wont happen to your car. Coz I haven't seen these problem before. Even my friends who own a shop they haven't heard it happening to a car specially brand new one.

HEY!!! That's the first time I've heard of another Honda having this problem. This happened twice to my '01 CL-S amongst many other bullsh*t, nagging problems inlcuding the dreaded dead tranny. If the 6MT had come out when I bought the CL-S back in April '00 I'd still be driving that car and wouldn't have traded it in early (even though my lease ran through April) on my wife's new Civic.

theres a DIY for adjusting the throttle cable, it just takes some of the slack out of it (or raises your idle speed and wastes lots of gas if you go too far), but doesnt add any performance or anything. pointless IMO

Taking the slack out of the throttle cable gives better response. Of coursre there are situations where a driver with a heavy foot or just a poor driver could get into trouble with that.

Gotta use a heavy foot to keep up with traffic in a Civic.
