hayame v1 and v2 coils

seeing that the v2 has a VERY bad reputation i wont be getting those. so my question is do the v1 have the same rep as the v2? if not, is it worth getting for a 03 EX?

The v1's had a problem with not dropping low enough, didn't they? The v1 fronts looked a little weak - that arm where the tie rod bolted in looked just wrong. v2's blew the fronts and had that nasty wheel wiggle problem as well. The rears on both versions seem to be the same and I'll admit I never had a problem with the rears. I've worked with v1 and v2 and I think I defended the Hayames longer than anyone on this board....but you WILL regret buying them I don't care if it only costs $5 DON'T buy them. Even if they work out fine for now, just wait till the threads seize or something else goes wrong - Hayame's customer service is craptastical too. Keep saving for something more proven like the Teins or KW's, please. It's not that much more money and you can drive safe and secure in the knowledge that your wheels aren't wiggling left and right with every bump.

as far as problems with my v1's, i haven't had any. stiff ride but with some thick tires, i'm sure it won't be too bad. mine are being replaced soon anyway. but as seen on honda-tech...

cheap
fast
reliable

dont freakin buy hayames, i will personally drive up to where you are and kick u in the sack if you do, cause you will want someone to do that when these pieces of **** blow on you. Learn from my mistake, I got the Version 2 cause i thought by this time they already improved on the V1s but hell no.

Save up, suspension isnt the place to go cheap. You will end up spending more in the end.

centurioncivic is an unknown quantity at this point
if interested i have a set of v1 hayames for a dc5(plenty of people on the site have used dc5 and ep3 suspension) for 250 shipped, my friend took them off his dc5 because the spring were popping because they were turning. some grease should solve that problem, the coilovers them selves are in good shape but hayame has a bad rap, so if your interested pm me.
