So i tinted the car!

So i tinted the car, bit the bullet and got 35% in the front and 80% in the back, not bad during the day time, night time its pretty dark. But yeah, i was hoping to get at least 25% in the front to steer away from breaking the 70% law in CA. But i just wanted to know everyones opinion or advice on POST upkeep tips after tinting your car. I was hoping to wash it the next day, soap, water, u know, the reg. stuff. Currently i let it try outside in the sun for a few hours and now its sitting outside in cold weather (55*F). The windows are a dew'ed/fogged up, i don't know whether washing it tomorrow will help or not, ANYONE's ADVICE on how long i have to keep them up or dirty?

from what you said i take it that the windows are tinted from the outside?
usually they tint the windows from the inside of the car.

i believe CA law says you can not tint the windows on ur front doors.

they're tinted inside and out, i didn't really get a clear answer from the shop on whether or not i can was the car. They said though not to roll down the windows for the next 2 days or so and not to touch the inside. ummmms I checked and researched about the tint laws and your right to some extent, that you CAN'T have tint in the front. What you CAN have is a type of tint that leaves at least 70% of visible light to come through and is used for UV protection and does not block the drivers views.

ah i c...well my tint shop tells me not to roll down the windows within 24 hrs because the tinting film they use works like your skin. it has microscopic pores in the film, and when they install the tint they use water and soap so they can move the film around. the 24hrs is just for the soap and water to dry. I got paranoid and i let it set for 2 days, just to make sure u know. but i got pulled over and had to peel the fronts off. went back and got it darker! after 6hrs i rolled them down cuz i had that "fjck it" mentality(sp?) and i've never had n e problems with it.

if its on the inside i dont see why you can't wash your car. just do it.

Um . . . . I take it you mean you got a 20% on the rear? Becuase 80% would mean that its like barely tinted. Either way . . . why did they tint both the inside AND the outside? That just doesnt make sense to me.
