I got pulled over for my yellow bulbs and the officer said it was a moving violation and not a fixing ticket
is that true? After that i went to the glendale police dept and talk to a officer there and she said it is a fix able
violation. I can't find the code online its 26600 modified lighting. what do you guys think?

looks like the cop needs to go back to the police academy.
how are yellow bulbs considered a moving violation? ... better yet, how is an exhaust considered a moving violation? excessively loud exhausts is considered noise pollution but ... moving violation?

if you starting dancing to the music in your car, would that be a moving violation too?

check vehicle code 24011 VC which states that blue and yellow headlamps are illegal but it contradicts with what was posted earlier...maybe one cancels the other out
^ by 24011, I'm assuming you're talking about this page ... but yeah I already checked it ... and I checked the actual codes and it states:
"24011. Whenever a federal motor vehicle safety standard is
established under federal law (49 U.S.C. Sec. 30101 et seq.), no
dealer shall sell or offer for sale a vehicle to which the standard
is applicable, and no person shall sell or offer for sale for use
upon a vehicle an item of equipment to which the standard is
applicable, unless:
(a) The vehicle or equipment conforms to the applicable federal
standard.
(b) The vehicle or equipment bears thereon a certification by the
manufacturer or distributor that it complies with the applicable
federal standards. The certification may be in the form of a symbol
prescribed in the federal standards or, if there is no federal
symbol, by a symbol acceptable to the department."
which has absolutely no relevance to headlights anywhere. So I don't think 24011 is the correct one ...

just check out this link
http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/streetlegal.html
it states that they are illegal cuz the code 24011 saying that anything that is not federaly DOT approved is illegal and since most yellow bulbs meant for headlights arent DOT approved its illegal...if u can fit some DOT fog light bulbs than u can kinda get away with it heh

there doesn't seem to be a 26600 vehicle code at all.

its most definitely not a moving violation. it SHOULD be a fix-it ticket. only time when it isnt is when you failed to fix it a previous time or if it was a hazard or something.
if he wrote the wrong vehicle code though i would think you would be able to fight it and win. but yeah just read what the vehicle code says. if it says headlights have to be white or yellow, your yellow lights should LEGALLY be fine unless its otherwise specified what shade of yellow(which i highly doubt it says).
