Car shutting off in NEUTRAL!!!
I am having this ongoing problem with my car. The first time it shut off on me going like 70 down the interstate. Then it shut off when I stopped. I brought it to Honda and they said that it was my idle valve. The service tech said that he has has several people come in with the same problem. So they fixed it and I was on my way.
Now, about 2 weeks later I am having the same damn problem. Every time I stop...my car shuts off. AND NO IM NOT STALLING OUT!!!! Its like the RPM's go down to like 200 and then it shuts off. If I dont stay on the gas when Im at a red light (which is kind of embarassing cause my exhaust is kinda loud) the thing shuts off on me. Anyone else had this little problem????? Do you think this would have anything to do with my underdrive pulleys?
Any help will be appreciated!!!!!
Thanks!
Chrissy

never had that problem in my manual 2k2 ex coupe. i remember reading some threads a while back about people who had their rpms drop in neutral and it acted like it was going to stall but didnt most of the time. i dont think any of them had the problem constantly though, i think it was an occasional thing. i dont know much about underdrive pulleys, but i would say the best way to find out if theyre affecting it is to take them off and see if it still does it (not sure how easy/hard that would be to do though)
