tokico suspension package (comes w/ springs..)
i have searched and i dont know if this is something that tokico has recently come out with or what, but i came upon some matched shock/spring setups that drop approximately 1" for $550.... has anone had experience with these? it seems like a better deal than getting spings seprate, and im sure the spring rate is matched better and will compliment the shock better like this....

opinions anyone?
i think this would be a great simple suspension upgrade for people who dont need racing shocks and who dont want an extreme drop... like me...

yea, 1 inch "drop" if you can even call it a drop.... i just thought it was a good thing for the kids to know about who dont want to be on the ground but would like something that handles better ... like myself
ive heard lots of people on here asking about a setup that would be a good swap out for stock but can be used in the winter and on crappy roads without worrying about thier car bottoming out...

Looks good to me I wouldn't mind getting it, but you might get away with using stock struts/shocks for only an inch drop. And it might be cheaper to just buy it in peices from truehonda or other places.

the idea though is to have matched struts and spring rates.
im sure tokico didnt just slap a random spring onto their shocks.
this way you can be sure that the spring rate compliments the rebound rate of the shock and isnt too harsh for it, that way your car wont be all bouncy and skittish, at least that what i assume...
also, stock struts suck... why wouldnt you want to replace them?
$475 from ebay vendor was the ceapest i could find...

i figure, if most people can get just the struts for $350 then why not pay the $125 for matched springs instead of paying $200 for some other brand with a too-high rebound that will make your car feel "sportier" but not actually improve handling
sorry if i sound like i think i know everything, i dont. im just excited to get new shocks after having blown ones for so long

the springs that come with it are tokico springs....
also, i am trying to avoid getting a camber kit, so want to keep the drop to a minimum (hence the 1") so i think i might have to skip on the sportlines and just get these...

yes they can but manufacturer recommends no lower than 1.75-2 inches but they are so damn stiff they can handle around 2.7 or so but you risk bottoming out on the shock but on the stiffest setting with lowering springs only it felt like i was on coilovers without the hard hits and bumpy ride it was very comfortable....i recommend them and you can get them off ebay shipped brand new for $550 or so...that where i got mine

its very easy...all you have to do is drill out the crashbolt holes from 14mm to 16mm...its very easy...i just did it today and it worked well...its easy to do i just got a heavy duty corded drill from home depot for 65 bucks and a 5/8 size drill bit for 15 or so and just used that...i got one of my crash bolts from the car and test fitted until it went through snugly...the way the bolt goes in has to be slightly larger i mean so slightly that u cant tell by even feeling it...anyways its easy
