Injector, Intake Manifold, & Turbo Pipeing Help........
Ok here's the deal I just bought the AEM EMS system for my ex 03 civic. I'm uprading my injectors to 550cc RC engineered for a return fuel line system. When my shop looked for some aftermarket injectors they couldn't find any for are years so they ordered some for a 96-2000 civic. The problem is that the injectors are to small to fit into my stock fuel rail. So they are think of taking getting an intake mainfold from a 96-2000 civic. If they do so the turbo pipeing from the tsi kit will have to be re-routed and maybe even custom fabricated in order to fit. They also said he has to use an idaling ifc because it's a 3 point harness that they will have to take the wiring from an automatic, so they hope that it will work. If anyone has an easier way in doing this PLEASE let me know ASAP. I can use all the help I can get.
Thanks!
Thanks!
First issue....rsx stock injectors will fit.
Larger injectors (like 440's and above) will not fit the stock d17 intake manifold. Not enough clearance before the tps.
To fit larger injectors, you can run the d16y8 intake manifold (like it sounds like they want to do). Those will fit aftermarket injectors but RC has different designs for k series and d/b series injectors.
As far as sensors and piping goes....you will probably have to reroute the piping. Sensors you can leave all of the stock ones, just fabricate an adapter plate that goes between the d17 throttle body and d16 intake manifold. That's gonna be your best bet. If you're running 10 psi or less, rsx stock injectors will suit you fine for now. When you turn up the boost later, you can see how close you are to maxing out your injectors with the aem's datalog. This way, you don't have to modify anything right now. You can do it in steps, later on.

get some SRT4 injectors. The stage 2 injectors flow over 600 cc, if im not mistaken. And they are the exact same size as the RSX injector. They fit beautifully.
see..... heres mine from before...

They are stage 3 SRT4 injectors. I believe their rating was 688cc @ 55 psi fuel pressure
