Tuning SAFC2 without dyno...

i think ive posted this before, but i couldnt find the thread...

this is for anyone with an safc/vafc. i know you need a dyno to properly tune the safc2, but are there any small changes i can make to get a couple extra horsepower without screwing anything up? i know it's only guessing, but it's worth a shot and i can always write the original settings down.

only good way to do it is to get a wideband air/fuel gauge and then you can tune at WOT. otherwise no not really. You need to know the A/F ratio of the engine and a wideband is the ONLY way to go. Narrow band don't tell you anything usefull. Basically just good for a light show, i used to have one. I bet with about 1-2 hrs on a dyno you could get a good tune...just save that $$ for that is the best way if you don't wanna worry about running too rich or loo lean and messing up the engine. Just my $.02
