I need some opinions!!! SWAP / DIY
I have a 01 ex. I want to swap the a1 block in keeping the a2 head. Mild PnP and weld in a d16 or b18 intake manifold.
1st Am i going to have any problems dropping that block (a1) into an ex (ecu or vtec, maybe).
2nd Will I gain any power by getting rid of the egr and gaining some compression (I think) using this block (a1)
I got a complete a1 engine for $183 with about 27,000 miles on it, so I couldn't pass it up!
And I will end up doing a complete diy for everyone with the IM swap.
Any ideas, or comments are welcome if not demanded!

370647 001 BLOCK ASSY., CYLINDER (DOT) = vtec and non-vtec so the block wont effect compression ratio at all and is interchangeable
#2 possibly, but you will need to figure out a way to trick the ecu that its not there

as far as it changing compression ratio....only the pistons/cyl head will effect compression ratio, and please do a DIY on the intake manifold if you can i think lots would enjoy it
