Installing Rear Strut?

Hey everyone, I was wondering, were would a rear upper strut be installed in my car. I haven't gotten one yet, but I am planning too. I heard that they are installed in the trunk on the wheel base, but when I took off the lining in the trunk by the wheel base, I didn't see any place where a strut could be connected? Thanks!

Take your tire off. See the spring? See that black (and probably dirty) tube going through it? That's your shock.

There are some pics. Look in the engine bay. See those round holes on each side. There should be some in the trunk too. That is where it attaches.
