Vafc-2 questions... not again right?
Vafc-2 questions... not again right?
i'll try to make it short. i know i dont have a civic (i have a 2000 accord V6 coupe for ref.) but i have the same problem as many users where the engine bogs (fuel cutoff?) @ ~3500 rpms. i dont have any mods except a SRI from Discount Auto (quit laughing) and my new V-AFC 2. If I turn the car on and floor it (in drive) everything works fine; it only does it when I slowly build up to 3500... any suggestions?

but if your car has vtec, then that wire must be connected or the engine light will come on. seems like they messed up the accord too. the tdc and vtm wires were not listed for our civics, yet without them connected, the car will throw a code. If you don't have vtec, then you shouldn't have bought the vafcII. there is an safcII for non-vtec cars.

that i don't know. you gotta check the electrical service manual. like i said the dealer is usually nice about letting you look at it for a bit at the desk.
Thanks, I went to the dearship my dad works @ and asked for an electronic service manual and they let me look at it for as long as I wanted. I found out Accords DO have a VTM wire just like civics and with it hooked up the V-AFC 2 works just fine. One problem solved, now where the hell can I find a dyno tuning shop around here...

i'm selling mine cause with I/H/E pnp cam gear i didn't even need it. the ecu does a pretty good job adjusting closed loop fuel below wot +/- 20%. only thing the controler is good for tuning is wot a/f and even then it doesn't do much.
