Angry Bootleg fuel sending unit / gas gauge...

I know other people have had the same problem i'm having... The stupid gas gauge will read empty, then all of a sudden it will read half a tank and so on.

The stupid thing about it is, i just had my stupid fuel sending unit replaced only a couple of months ago, and now the **** is messing up again! Has anyone else had their units replaced more than once besides me?

either you got another faulty sending unit or your instrument cluster is faulty. does it happen all the time or after being on a incline? There is a technical service bulletin for the instrument cluster on a issue like this.

well if it was replaced 2 months ago, go back and have them fix it again. It should be under a parts warranty now.

it was really strange. I was driving and the gas light comes on, I was 40 miles from the next one, thought it was gonna run dry. Then I fill up and there was 5 gallons left. doh. Now its pretty good. Gas light always comes on when the needle is around red.
