Turbo problem. Help needed!

Gatcha buddy!!!
You think its a noobie question?

To the topic, since I installed my TSI turbo kit, I got a big problem.....wet weather traction.
In the wet its a disaster to drive, wheels spin anytime boost builds up..
I run stock 15" Firestones now, but they are at end of the life now..
What 15" tires to use for the turbo application??

hehe, I'm to cheap to buy tires right now, so i am still running my winter tires. I still spin the tires when boosting in 4th gear in the wet

I want to get some Azenis, but I'm not too sure about the wet performance of them.

wet performance on the azenis suck. But why would you want to race in the rain?

As long as you keep the driving in the rain to a minimum, you will be fine with the azeins. They are a pretty good tire, and they are usually pretty cheap.

actually the new Falken Azenis 615's are supposed to have superior wet traction in comparrison to their older 215 series.

drjvic04 is on a distinguished road
how about the Kumho 712's. I think even the BF goodrich are supposed to be okay in the rain. Just go to tirerack.com and do some shopping.

I think any tire in the wet will be short on traction.
Is there like "traction conrtol upgrade" available for our car?

The stock firestones are crap. Get yourself something with a 300treadwear like the BF Goodrich KDW G-Force.

Kumho 712s are sticky, but tons of road noise. OMG. I used to get headaches driving with my windows down.

So basicaly my option is just to switch to different tire.
So, no one makes traction control systems?

Different tire and stiffer suspension will help without a doubt.

Just think of what a car with over 300 whp would be like in the rain, you just cannot gas it that much and expect tractionl.

I am very happy with my kumhos. It doesnt rain but 10 days a year here though. They had quite good traction when wet or dry. And they didnt make any road noise that I noticed.

Thats funny, stock tires in a boosted vic. haha. no traction at all. How you likin boost though? Workin out for ya? Hope so. It was all worth it, huh?

They sounded like a monster truck with mud tires rolling down the street with the windows down when I had them.

You might be used to noisy road tires. Some people are and others are not. If you are not used to them, then you get some....WHOA!
