Hey everyone,
Just noticed that there is a separate subforum for lighting so I decided to drop by. Anyway, since I'm a new sponsor here for 7thgencivic, just thought I'd drop by and if anyone has questions about HID's, you can ask me if you can't find it using the search button. Also, if you don't want to retrofit your headlights and would rather just get a rebased setup, check out the link in my siggy for more information.
Otherwise, have fun retrofitting! And don't forget about our D2S setups, we can special order mix-and-max setups so that you can save $50 and just use H4 ballasts with D2S bulbs! No need for wiring harness anyway since our bulbs only take 7 amps upon startup, which is less than what halogens take.
Thanks for your time guys.

7 amps upon startup. Does that mean after the inital 3 seconds which pulls the most amps out of the wiring system in order to start the ballast?

Hey there,
I meant that as soon as the ballasts are triggered by the light switch, the first 3-5 seconds (startup) will take at most 7 amps. The continuous running after startup takes 4.5 amps.
