Running a CAI on a swap?

Can you run a RSX CAI with a swap. Any issues with them in a 7thgen?

You can run a EP3 AEM CAI without any issues or a K20A2 AEM CAI am remove da windshield washer bottle and relocate the radiator overflow tank.

eh ... I'll tell you what I found out by experience:

EP3 AEM CAI: fits perfectly. it is has exactly 2" diameter piping.
EP3 Injen CAI: it DOES NOT fit ... not even close ... 2.36-2.5" diameter piping.
RSX-S AEM CAI: to my knowledge, it does fit perfectly. temo is running it with his k24 swap, so it would probably work with a k20. 3" piping
RSX-S Injen CAI: I'll let you know in a couple weeks ... 3" piping

quick: if you have an rsx-s aem cai ... keep it. the piping is 3" ... and only 2" for the ep3

I just had an AEM CAI intake installed on my K20. The CAI was for a EP3. Windshield washer bottle removed. No issues.

i personally would sell that intake and get a CAI for a type S, there is a HUGE DIFFRENCE and you will see a diffrence between that skinny tube and a type S

Skinny tube? Didn't seem all that skinny when I looked at it yesterday. The CAI is only temporary until I go FI. So, if there truly is a difference between the Si and RSX-S CAI then I am not all that concerned. If I was going to stay N/A then I might address the issue.

Thanks for the heads-up.

our engine bays are closer to the Si... so almost any intake would be safe for that.

however, my ep3 injen cai didn't fit ... not even close. I don't know why, but hasport said that is what they used in their swap ...

hey!!! you said you didn't have to modify your car to get the aem cai to fit!

well ... to get the ep3 injen cai to fit, you need to dremel off a piece of metal the size of a shoe ... and unlike SOME people, I KNOW how to make a CAI fit rofl
