Angry I hate Foriegn Drivers...

Who are old, can't drive, and can't speak English.

So I'm coming out of a parking lot onto a semi-busy street, about ready to go home... I'm turning right, so I only have to worry about people on my left going down the street.

I wait about 30 secs for the cars to pass, and I see an opening, so I start pulling out when I hear a scrape. Since I began pulling out very slowly, it was a sloooow painful scrape, and I look to the right and see some idiot in a big truck.

I guess he thought that he could squeeze past me and turn right, he couldn't have been more than 6 inches away from my car at ANY TIME as he tried to squeeze past me.

I slowly back up, hearing the car scrape against his bumper again. The side of my car, the corner of his front bumper.

I lift up my hands in complete aggrivation at him, and he doesn't understand the gesture. Why? Because he's about 60 years old. He doesn't speak english. And he doesn't understand how to drive.

I pull off and look at my side painfully, and at his bumper. He's got a barely noticable scratch on his chrome, something you can't see unless you look for it. I have a 1-2 foot scratch on my passenger door panel.

However, legally it's probably my fault. I didn't look right... because I assumed that there wouldn't be anyone there. Seriously, I wasn't blocking the driveway or anything like that, I was just about to turn right... I guess he thought that he wanted to turn right too and that I wasn't going to, so he tried to force his way past me. Idiot.

In any case, I threw up my hands. He doesn't understand. I say "forget it" and he smiles big, showing he is missing a bunch of teeth. Apparently he understood that. I drove away.

And now I have this scrape on my bumper, courtesy of an old guy who doesn't know how to drive or speak English. Do I not have a right to be pissed off here...?

its definately his fault if its a one way to exit the parking lot. technically, he was getting into your lane.

i hope you got his info down and filed police report... who gives a **** they speak no english or not, they'll pay for **** they do. if you must, you can also request an asian officer that understands the language he speaks.

and yeah, i think people over 50 should take a behind the wheel driving test every 2 years or 1.

Angry

^LOL.

Honestly, I don't know whether he was asian or hispanic... I know that sounds weird or messed up, but he could have passed for either. Honestly

I didn't get his info because I was thinking it's my fault anyways, I'm the one that scraped him. It wasn't a one way to exit the parking lot, you could turn right or left, but it was pretty freaking obvious that he should have waited behind me instead of just assuming that I was turning left.

I wanted to just clock the moron... but he was old. And he did seem so friendly...

ARGH!!!

naw, wouldnt been his fault for sure.

the laws of the road is as is. there was a time where my sis/dad was driving thru a intersection with traffic lights. it was a 4way. they were signaling to make a left and cars that are going straight have right of way. so these black couples in a scraper were waving at my father/sis to let them go. as they inch up, the black people immediately drove straight.

in that case, if the black couple were to hit my fathers car, it wouldve been my father at fault because drivers who are going straight have the right of way. whether if the person ahead, behind, front, etc lets you go... if anything happens and they find out you were making a left turn while they were going straight, its your ***.

do not trust any other driver on the road! mostly in CA
