Oil leak

i changed my oil like 2 weeks ago and now i have a slight oil leak. there is a little spot under where i park my car. the oil never leaked before the change so im assuming i screwed it up. i looked under the car and it appears the oil is comming out of where the plug goes in the pan. after i changed my oil i found the DIY and i then realized that i didnt put a washer on in it. is that more than likely the problem. i may try to tighten the plug a lil more but i dont want to strip it. i put the plug tight but not real tight. any ways please help a first time oil changer out. thanks

DO NOT crank the bolt on. You'll stretch the threads in the pan. Go get the washer, its less than a dollar. You just wasted the oil, get 4 more quarts, change it again, put the drain bolt back in with a washer and torque it to spec (27 EX, 31 LX/DX).
Don't pour drained oil back into the engine.

midnightblueEX has a little shameless behaviour in the past
heh, i cracked my oil pan tightening the bolt to much, on a good note, after i got a new oil pan the car felt like it ran much smoother, probably got alot of sludge out of the old pan.

when you said 4 more quarts you meant by that to use 3.2 to 3.5 quarts (non vtec and such) right?

get a new pan...re-tap is pointless and worthless on this pan....anyone with common sense wouldn't touch it.... most likely cause is you stretched splines, or crossthreaded.......but check your pan gasket also...9 times out of 10 that is where you will get your leak, cheaper to replace pan gasket then whole pan hehe....
