Suspension for daily driving
in ur opinion for a car which is just used for daily driving, no drifting & no racing
which setup would be the best (im talking about driving condition, not money)
- tein stech springs w/ kyb agx or tokico shocks ?
- tein basic damper ?
- tein super street damper w/out uppermount ?
thanks for ur thoughts guys

well, Tein goes good all around, get some srpings if you're not wanting to adjust, or get the basic's, imo, you cant go wrong, plus IF you ever wanted to go a lil lower, and with springs you have the possibility of sag in the future. with the coilovers, you can at least get rid of that. i mean for only like $300 more than what all Blues, springs and camber kit would cost, you could get the basic!
the tein basics are quite crappy. i wouldn't go with them.
super street is 6F 8R kg/mm. that's overkill for 100% daily driving.
not to mention tein has a rep for using shocks that can't handle their spring rates in their coilovers.
what exactly do you want to do with this car? just lower it?
if your goal is comfortable daily driving, just stick with stock suspension.

i have the tein stech with koni yellows and i think the ride is great for a daily driver. its not rough at all and i can hit bumps and potholes without worry. i had tenzo springs with tokico blues on my last civic and was very unhappy. i'm sure the tokico blues were fine though, was probably just the tenzo springs were not that great...

Honestly, progressive springs and blues will be your best bet. Straight rate springs get rough, and if you don't need it, then there's no reason to get them.

i just want to lower the car but not too low as ill get a tanabe smr as well & don’t want it to hang too low, especially the road ain’t that great over here
also the ability to adjust the lowering would be great as this would still be a “family car” i could higher if needed even though i know id have to get an alignment done every single time
tbh, id be interested in the tein basic coz' i could find them for the same price as in the US (i live in europe) which is quite good coz’ buying them from tein uk is something like US$2000 for the tein basic, they’re mad !
boilermaker, wot r “straight rate springs”?

yeah it's true the ride with just springs is not that nice-for a daily driver. I'm about to get a set of Tokico Blues to go with my Tein S-techs hoping that'll be what I was after... actually the springs were quite nice for about 1 week after that everything loosened up started popping making funny noises - the fronts OK but the rear is fu(ked. Looking forward to some good struts.

look into B+G true coilovers. i got the first version and had them for over 2 years and not one problem. i love them and u can slam it if u want. drops up to 3 inches. their about 950-1000 shipped. u just gotta look for that deal. good luck

i have neuspeed sport and tokico blues and i can't say the ride is comfortable. reading all the feedback on tokico blues, i guess it's the neuspeed springs. what lowering springs/coilovers should i get? or am i better off just getting tein basic dampers instead? ii'm just trying to have a comfortable ride (not having to brace myself for a pothole or traintracks) and a 1.5" drop. thanks!

but, do you think just a neuspeed upper front strut bar and rsx type-s rear sway bar are good enough for daily driving suspension?
I have the Tein S-Tech springs on my car right now, looking to buy some Tokico HP's. My car sits 1.3 front, 1.4 in the back. If your car is slammed, don't get the HP's, but with my Tein setup it should be fine. All of those options are good IMO. Obviously I favor the TEIN/Tokico setup.

I have the tokico blues and eibach pro kit 1" drop. It is close to the stock ride and not too harsh. It is very tight and handles pretty good as body roll has been reduced.

i was gonna get a set of blues and s-techs but it ended up not working out...i got tokico D-Specs for 90 more than blues and i got some used H&R springs for $50...so it was a pretty good deal....i got a full suspension (along with camber kit) for $640 total where as if i got everything retail i woulda paid around $1300 (d-specs - $800, H&R - $300, SPC camber kit - $160)
