NEW rims & tires

Hey guys,

Looking to buy new rims and tires for my 2005 LX 4DR.

For rims, I'm looking at the 17" Kazera KZ-A Black w/ Machined Lip.

For tires, I'm looking at 215/45WR17 SL Kumho ECSTA ASX Blackwall.

Rims are 20lbs. Tires are 21lbs.

What do you guys think? My car is Nighthawk Black. Are these rims/tires too heavy? Will those tires fit? Will 235/40/17 tires fit on my car?

BTW, when do people usually buy new rims? I only have 600+ miles on my car.

Didn't really want 235/40R/17 anyway so that's cool. Thanks.

Any comments on the rim/tire size/profile/weight? Brand?

Anyone have these rims on their vehicles?

Jase

I personally don't like those rims, or the tires, get some toyo's or pirelli's

the rims look clean but I personally would go with Potenza S-02 for the tires

anyway, when I bought my 02 coupe used it still had the factory tires (maybe the second pair, I dunno) on with around 40k miles on them. They were pretty much bald which made for a fun winter, where I could pretty much slide around any corners I approached with decent speed. But, what are you looking for in a rim? are you going just show (where a 19" heavy *** rim wont really matter), or are you looking to go faster, where a smaller lighter rim is necessary. Color is also a huge factor. Do you like the look of black on black? (personally I dislike black rims as I think they look dirty).

Bronze rims usually look cool on black cars, have you checked out any of those? (I especially like the si on the truehonda.com website)

Well, the reason I want new rims is between appearance and performance. I mean, I'm not going to look for the EXTREMELY lightweight ones or EXTREMELY heavyweight ones. Also, I have stock hubcaps right now which I am anxious to get rid of.

I personally like black on black, ESPECIALLY if the rim has a polished/machined lip. Some black rims look 'dirty', I agree, but those are usually the ones that are all black. These have a unique look to them, IMO. Glossy black spokes, silver centercap and machined lip.

But I will def check out bronze rims on my car. Thanks for the input.

BTW, I just looked at my bank account... After tuition, insurance, car payments, car insurance, rent etc, I only have ~$2G. Haha, guess I need to play more online poker. Any donations are welcome!
