headers w/ oem exhaust....

What do you guys think of dc or obx headers with a oem exhaust, will that work, and would that give out a good sound without it being noisy?

It will work with out any icrease in HP/TQ. Stock is too restrictive (1.75" in dia?). for better breathing for your D17 upgrade to full catback headers and CAI. You will gain like 10whp.
Go with DC 4-2-1 race header with hi-flow cat and 2.25" cat back and AEM CAI

Agreed. but be prepared to loss ton's of low end torque if you go any bigger than 2" piping.and even then you'll still loss alot seeing as you'll loss back pressure....... Also.Dont do a 4-2-1 theres no point you'll actually gain torque if you just go 4-1. its better for you car anyway..... heres my set up

Injen SRI
DC Sport 4-1 Headers
Custom 2" Catback w/ Apexi N1 Muffler.
Apexi Vafc II

I lost *** loads of torque all the was threw 1-2nd. but at the top end.. its sexy...in 5th gear at 80 mph.. i can go from 80-110 in about 4 sec..

P.S A Short Ram intake w/ give you a Better increase of power than a Cold air will......SRI's Produce more Low end Torque.

A stock exhaust is not bad at all i still was pulling hard on other vics w/ full exhuast systems.......and Kicken there ***.. Sometimes i wish i never did my 2" piping.
