I would like to know will the OEM header heat shield (oem header cover) will fit over the HP Header. Since the HP 4-1 Header is illegal, i would like to mount the header cover onto the header to decieve the police officers.

The hp header is going to be way to big to fit under the oe shield. Plus, I am almost certain it lacks the hole for the bolt at the bottom of the shield.

It will probably rattle and drive you nuts with just 2 but it might fit that way. The hp header is about 2x the size of the oe so I still don't think it would fit. I don't have the hp and haven't heard of anyone doing what you describe but have seen the header on someones car. So, take it for what it's worth.

first thing it isn't illegal the cat on it is. just use the hp with a stock cat. the cat on the hp header is basically a test pipe(pipe instead of cat= more hp)

yes it is illegal.. if you search. the HP 4-1 header is designed for off-road use only. i want to use the whole setup HP Header setup but have it concieled.

although it isn't what u were going for...

u should consider header wraps... they work like heatshields....

keeps the heat within the pipes so exhaust fumes exit faster and smoother.. and keeps the heat outta the engine bay.

ok if you even read my thing you wouldn't feel so dumb. the header!!!! alone is perfeclty card approved and legal to use but the cat!!! thats with it makes illegal cause its really a test pipe with a bit of himney comb in it so they call it a high flow cat. but apparently you haven't looked on the forum or you woulda already known this.

i didnt read your post carefully. i would rather use the whole HP 4-1 Header setup.. or none at all.
