EDIT : Buying a K20a3 w/ PIC
Thinking about buying this motor here: k20a3
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
Is there are anything I need to look out for?
Should I ask the seller for the vin to run a check on the motor?
If I get K-pro, do I still need to bring the ecu & car to Acura to get it reflash?
EDIT: Seller has uploaded some pics. take a look

I can't see if there are pics because my work blocks them, but ....
u need to know if it's from an Si or a base rsx (base = black intake mani, si = metal)
u also need:
- mounts (hasport)
- any base rsx or 02+ Si axles
- good knowledge of wiring or the hasport harness
- any k20 header (and u need to get your exhaust modified/cut)
- rsx shift linkage
- motor, trans, ecu, subframe
I think that's it ...

Ordering Process
Your car’s ECU will have to be sent to Hondata’s facility in Torrance, California because the ECU needs to be modified by Hondata. The modification requires actual soldering and other work on the Honda ECU. The upgrade needs to be ordered via a Hondata dealer as Hondata does not sell to the public directly. If you order from a local dealer, they may take the ECU out of your car and send it to Hondata, then reinstall it for you. You cannot use the car while the ECU is at Hondata unless the dealer lets you borrow a K-Pro ECU.
Even though the Acura RSX uses an immobilizer system that is keyed to the ECU, you do not need to send the immobilizer (a ring-shaped plastic contraption that wraps around the ignition key lock) and a car key (the car key has a transponder in it that communicates with the immobilizer) to Hondata as you do when you have your ECU reflashed by Hondata.
You can also order the K-Pro upgrade from a dealer that is not local. If you do it that way, the dealer will send you a box with a Fedex shipping label, the required paperwork for you to sign, and ECU removal instructions.

comes with the following.
"Are you doing a swap or replacement??? If you're swapping, I'll give you an RSX axle since it fits better than the EP3 that came with it. It comes with the tranny, harness, subframe, alt, all the wiring - engine harness and battery charge harness, there's even a spare Type-S valve cover, some OEM EP3 mounts and all the accessories, belts, etc.... I have a throttle cable and EP3 shifter cables on order too. you can have those too"
what u guys think. good deal or no?
price would be either 1350 or 1400 shipped/delivered.

I just talk to the seller about it. Looks like I will be getting it.
$1350 shipped.
Can anyone give me a solid answer.
If I get an ecu from a rsx / si, send it off to get k-pro'ed (engine does not with ecu). Do I still need to go to honda/acura to get my car started, because of the immo. or Hondata they disable it.

All right what do you want to know, because i have allready been through this swap with my car. when you swap the motor your going to need the ecu from what ever car it came out of, Unless you do go K-pro. Its chepper to get K-pro if you seed them the A3 ecu $1000. But if you dont have a ecu than youll have to buy theres which is $1500. If you do go K-pro then when you send them your ecu and key you dont have to worry about the imbolizer. If you use the stock A3 ecu(no K-pro) you will have to have an acura or honda dealer reflash your key to match the ecu about $100. Really unsless you have the money to get k-pro i would just use stock A3 ecu.
