CV joint is a wear and tear item. Since they can get sliced open by road debries, that's a though one. How many miles? And you KNOW the dealer won't cover squat if they can avoid it.

If your suspension is modified, you may have trouble getting warranty work on it. The metal band on the outer CV boot ripped into mine leaking the grease everywhere. Should be covered though unless your suspension is lowered.

I can see how they wouldnt cover a damaged CV joint if the boot was torn, because that could happen, but they should cover it if the joint fails.
