Me neither....it's got pretty good reviews, and for the numbers they are posting it seems like it might be worth it to bite the bullet and try it.
You know we'll probably get flamed just for talking about this "gimmick" part.

looks like another "Turbonator" to me.
save your money. the D17 will not make more power without internals, head work, and/or boost. just live with it, and move on.

Okay, just bear with me for a second here, I'm a newbie at engine building:
By internals do you mean cams, valve springs, pistons? What else is there interally?
And what can be done to the head besides a pnp?
Like I said, just bear with me on those engine building NooB questions. I've been thinking of going that route, just not sure what all can be done. Any help is appreciated.

The internals crower just released an awesome new set of stuff for us like cams, springs, valves?, retainers, and rods. All looks to be high quality stuff.
If you want to make some power you need parts that can handle it.
Valves and springs and such are in the head, too.
I can honestly say if you want ~200hp out of our engines you are looking at:
Pistons, rods, springs, valves, etc.
PnP head
Turbo + tuning
(bored throttle body MAYBE, seems no one really needs these so far)
200 is alot for the D17. And its a new engine which hasnt become "popular" yet so its tough to get good info on different set-ups and how they perform.
Anything im missing?
Unfortunatly adding an intake and exhaust usually result in a loss of power. the backpressure in the exhaust creates torque. unless you boost exhaust doenst help any.
anyway if you really want something faster you may be better off trading the civic for something easier to mod, or already faster. the civic is great for modding everything but the engine.

if you rebuild and plan on turbo get dished pistions, lower the compression ratio. if you want to stay N/A then get domed pistions, higher the compression. best route is lower compression/turbo. i feel at least.

how is that. i have header, full exhuast, pulleys, CAI. and my car did loss any power, if anything it gains a few. my car got dyno'd in CT at 122hp. o well, mine didnt loss power.

oh. maybe the pulley helped.
but i mean you gain nothing significant. you pay $1000 to lose hp or gain under 5. not cost effective at all.

Well I've said to myself over and over that if I ever got to the point where I was truly considering to boost my car, that I'd just buy something faster. To me modding for looks is good enough right now. I know this car is slow, but I was just looking for some good bolt-on/tuning mods that might help to pull a little more out of the car.
