i think if he does what i said, the state govt. will pay the $$$ for a (1) new rim, because it was damage to his car that shouldnt have happened and wouldnt have happened if the roads didnt freakin suck, lol

omg!!!!
I have never seen damage like that before to a rim from a pothole!
Anyways, I don't know if I'd pay to get that fixed (if they even can). The rim will never be the same.

Don't bother fixing it, buy a new rim of that model. In Ontario you can bill the government for such damage due to badly maintained roads. I don't know if Quebec follows suit, but I don't see why not....
5zigens are pretty solid wheels... i can't even imagine how bad that pot hole must have been... thats terrible, sorry to hear.
Just try to sell the 3 and make some off it, it'll help you out a little with the new set of wheels...
how much did you spend on these if you don't mind me asking.

yeah from my understanding, ontario govt reimburses you only if there were no caution signs warning you (such as those seen for raised manholes)
hopefully quebec has the same law
my buddy curbed his 17s when he was driving on highway 7 and jane back when they stripped the top few layers of the road a couple yrs back and had those raised manholes without signs. but he sold the rims and then found out about the reimbursement. that was a pissoff!

Thats really shatty, I agree with everyone on purchasing a new rim. The amount spent on damge repair is close to the value of the rim. Also, i was planning to take my car to montreal but ive been hearing bad stories about the roads and theft so maybe not. Whats the rating on your tires btw?

Like I said in our conversation FaZe
Definitely sucks to happen .. not only once, but now the second time. Its why I'd agree with others to just get a new one.

I would pretty much say no. I had a wheel damaged almost exactly as yours is. I went to the trouble of sending it out to be fixed, it would have cost 160 to fix, but the crack is a clear cut sign that it should be tossed. The wheel will never be the same.
215/45/17 is the way to go.....espacially if your a montrealer. Thats why 18's are way to dangerous to have. You have no choice but to go with a 40 or even a 35 profile tire.
