512 falkens vs. yk420 yokos
just put some ze512s on the little vic.
Not a bad tire, quieter then the yokos and a little smother riding in the same size. Grip isnt as good in the dry havent tried them in the wet yet. it seems like its easier to get to the limits of this tire but those limits are a little lower, I would say this is a better tire for begining drivers where the Yokos require a little more skill to drive to their full potential. The real deciding factor for me was the cost. These were under $300 on the car and Yokos were a little over $400. Still, if youve got the coin, the Yoko DBS2 is the coolest tire ever. They grip like crazy, slide perfectly and make almost no squeling even totaly sideways. They just wear out really fast so dont expect them to last. These falkens have littel ruber ***** on the sides after only one short drive so I am going to have to remember to take it easier on them. I'll post wear updates as I go.

I paid around the same, but I got the warranty for 40 bucks. Everything came out to 320-325.

. if you look on discounts web site the diff. is about $20/tire. oh yea, discount tire and americas tire are the same company
.one final note. if you do find a lower installed price discount tire/americas tire will beat it

Im not totaly sure but I have found a ton more applications for a 205/55 then a 205/60. they had the 205/55 in stock but had to order the 205/60, same story the last three times I have bought tires in that size. the Yk420 is around $400 a set and its a bit better then the 512
