Honestly... it probably won't be hard to sell a modded car... depending on how tastefully you modded it. You just have to find the right buyer. Most people won't buy modded but some will.
You also have to understand, people who are looking to buy a car won't pay that much extra for mods. Say you have an additional 5grand into your car... don't expect someone to pay you that extra money just cause you spent that much. Keep that in mind and expect to take a huge hit when selling a modified car.
Best bet would be to take off all the mods on your car and part them out... you'll get more money for them this way...then sell your car in stock format.

I have to agree with Dennis. Some of your potential buyers will have a negative attitude towards modifications because they simply don't understand how it's done, which leads to a false sense of fear, which is mostly directed towards to safety of the vehicle, when infact many of the upgrades actually improve driving safety significanty such as suspension, wheels and tires, brakes ect..
I agree
Just thought Id add that seeing a car modded out often makes the potential buyers feel the car has been driven hard, meaning different parts could be in bad shape (tranny, bumpers- fender benders, suspension, etc).
