I just got Sirius and I know Matrix311 has XM. Anybody else have it or have a preference of the two?...

I've got Sirius. I didn't think there was a whole lot of difference between the two for the music I enjoy. I went with Sirius because of the NFL and the Sirius Alpine tuner has an ai-net pass through so I could have the ipod adapter hooked up without extra hardware.

yep i got xm, i listened to it the entire way out to Cali this past weekend and i'm goign back out to Cali this weekend so i'll listen to it again. It's great!

I have the xm ready pioneer deck too with the pioneer xm tuner and antenna, nice combo and works perfect! easy clean installation and no external crap inside the car to work with.. I love xm.. i do wish howard stern was on it though.. i'm a fan of howie

I think both are a waste. 40G iPod keeps me going with PLENTY of tunes...Plus im not a fan of "talk" radio. If I wanted to listen to someone talk to me for 4 hours I'd call my mother.

Nah it's worth it, i was able to listen to the suns game the entire drive out to LA last Friday, i've learned a lot about different movie stars by listening to E! on there when i go on my long trips. They got some kickass alternative station, very similiar to Chronix Aggression (http://www.chronixradio.com) and just a bunch of other cool stuff. I really dont listen to my mp3 player much, unless i want to listen to a full cd, other than that i just play the xm radio 75% of the time. I love it........oh yeah not to mention XM Comedy is fuken hillarious too

For an Alpine you need the SIR-ALP1. Check ebay. I picked up a used one for 55 shipped and had them waived the hook up fee. OTD I paid 67 for it WITH a months worth of airtime.
