Clear them headlights.
Sedan? (I don't like the way the new sedans look)... body kit.
Change the interior. Paint the trim pieces. Get a new shift ****. (Or shifter if you've got an automatic.) Get leather. (Hehe...) Racing seats. New exhaust. Tinted windows. 7thGenCivic decals. Blue interior lights. Blue signals. Hyper white bulbs for the headlights. Underbody kit lights that matches the color of your car (yeah, yeah, they're illegal but I've grown to love them... use wisely!) Change everything that lights up orange inside the car... to another color. Put another armrest on the passenger seat. Get some flashy floormats. Get a strobe light for the inside of your car. (Ah, that's crazy...) SUSPENSION... slam your car. Paint the brakes after getting new rims. Get a carbon fiber hood (not for me but peeps like'em.) Get a spoiler. (The factory spoiler does not agree with my taste.) Altezzas, sidemarkers, and a tank of NOS ought to do it.
EDIT: Petals, airfreshners, and your favorite favorite thing on the passenger side dashboard... put a DVD player in that mug with one of those 5inch screens. Put a PS2 in there, or an XBox and this is why you tint the windows. Custom paint the inside to look at nice as the outside, or repaint the exterior if you want a car that says "you" if the color ain't enough. Put a computer in your car. Put a baby seat in the back. Cell phone holder. A compartment for medication, and an extra cup holder on the driver's side. (One on passenger's side, too.) A place to keep change. Remote access, push button start (blue) and a self destruct button (unlabelled, but red) to impress the hell out of car theives. (That button will lock the engine.) Put a hand gun holder under the driver's seat... ok, the rest is up to you...

Rep Power: 0 I wish i had gotten rims first but then i think about rollin w/o a stereo and i made a wise choice...
one of your first mods should be to clear your headlights... it's practically free. jsut need to clear a few hours and buy a tube of clear bathroom silicone.
it'll take you about 3-5 hrs but after you did it yourself you'll be proud-as-can-be not only did you prove that it's your can and you can screw w/ it how you please but the nose of your car looks a bazillion times better

Rep Power: 0 The most common modification most people do first to their rides is:
STEREO. (Just like someone just said.) Now me, I'm fine with what I got cuz I've basically been living in a car with NO CD player, so the stock one suits me for now. But be yourself and do what you want. I truly feel every Civic deserves cleared headlights and it only takes 5 tools to do it and some silicone.
