noise when going over bumps

when I go over a pothole or a bump, i hear a noise coming from the front driver's side. It sounds like something is loose and it's moving around banging on something.

i started hearing this after i had tein s.tech springs installed.

also when I turn the wheel all the way to the left and let go of the wheel to let it straighten itself out, the wheel gets stuck slightly to the left.

anyone know if i can fix this myself? I've never done any work on suspension myself before.

O my gosh..I hope someone replies to this one....I have the same exact problem. Does it happen just when you go over bumps..especially short quick ones....and it sounds like a poping or knocking??

I thoight at first it was my upper mount going bad cause the kid who helped me install the springs droped the mount and all the bearings came out. He just basically reinstalled them. So I was thinking that it was bad. But I think it did it all the time....so I dont know. I never had anything about the wheel being stuck. But I`m pretty sure that its only on the drivers side front.

Let me know if you find out what the problem is.

either the tie rod end is loose or needs to be re-greased or the spring isnt seated right............thats what it would most likely be.........ive replaced my suspension like5 times so i have run into almost any problem you can have under there

really?? I wonder why we both have the same exact trouble with the same springs??

Anything other advice would sure help.

Also, how could you tell if it was your upper mount going on yah?? Woudl it just be really loose??

Thanks! I appreciate advice from an experienced individual.

yea it makes knocking sounds only when i go over bumps.

it would also make clunking sounds when i turn the wheel all the way to the left and then back too. It used to make 3 clunks but now it's just 1.

superman2004, how long have you had the knocking sounds on ur car?

Ive had my suspension on for about 6 months.....I didnt realy remember it being there when I first had it put on...but I might not have been paying attention...that and maybe it got worst..I dont know...but I notice it now. I dont think it does it at all I`m going over just dips in the road. In other words...if its a pothole or a sudden dip...it does it..but if its just a slower bumpb it doesnt do it.
I dont know if that makes sense. I have never had it do it if i just turn the wheel...but what I dont get is that it only does it on the driver`s side and we both have teins on it.

I wonder if there is a link between the two. BTW, I hate tiens!!!
