HELP!!! Almost Installed 04-05 fog lights (w/ pics)

Ok well, from these pics, im sure the fogs look nice and alright, but there were many problems incountered in installing them and i still need help on finishing them. So if u know a solution to anything, plz let me know.

I woulda done it myself, but i have never installed fogs before and wouldnt know where to begin, so i took it to a shop i heard of. Most of these problems during installation i think were due to the lack of knowledge or experience on the installation of fog lights that the people at the shop had. I asked them on the phone if they would need an instruction manual, but they said, nahh fogs are easy to install...So i figured ok, they must know what they're doin. But when i got there, they really had trouble with a lot of things like how to bolt the lights onto the bumper and having it fit properly. Thats not all they had trouble with either. The lights dont turn on. Ya, seriously...I have to go back tomorrow around noon and we are gunna try to get them to work. I found myself having to help them and make sure they didnt break anything during the 2 1/2 hours there that we spent.

If you were to look up close to the lights in person, you would see a gap on the side of the fog lights and they both arent centered correctly facing strait, they are facing off to the sides of the car. They really thought and told me that the lights dont fit to well and are kinda uncentered b/c they are OEM "Style" and not the actually factory product. But after looking over the Honda Manual for the installation of the fogs, it looks like they didnt do a bunch of stuff that the manual listed in order for the fogs to be strait and flush with the bumper. So im gunna print out the manual and bring that tomorrow and hopefully we can get them to look nice n strait. As for the wiring and them not turning on, they say that its somethign wrong with the relay or somethin ionno, like we need new ones or somethin...they are also saying that it should be turning on because the fogs are hooked strait up from power, wired up from the on/off button.

If anyone here has any knowledge of wiring fog ligths and might know the answer to our problem...plz help me out. Supposovely its all wired up and should be working but it isnt.

So ya im really fustrated and pissed. But here are the pics...

i just posted on your other thread. Anyways, sorry to hear that. I think you would've been better off if you did it yourself.. You probably already have the installation instructions, but i'm going to post the link anyways just in case.

duffy2004,
I'm also waiting for some time to install mine which are just like yours. Some days ago, l was talking to another member and he mentioned like 3 diferent problems with these fogs. First, he said about the fittment issue, which I'm confirming w/ you now, but that shouldn't be a biggie...second he said the subharness wasn't long enough to reach to the car so he had to try another route other than the one on the installation from Honda. Finally, he mentioned that he was having problems getting them to workl just like you, but he said it wasn't the relay, instead was the switch that wasn't working. To fix the on/off issue, he wired the fogs to the headlights so that they would turn on when the headlights do. They will work, but only when the headlights are on. IMO you should have gave them the installation pages from the beggining, I hate when someone tells me they know what they are doing and later it's like ooopss, what's happening here...you feel me. Just go over the install pages and check everything to see if they did it right, even the switch and the relay, on the instructions they tell you what cables to wired them and all. Your headlights look great by the way, hope this helps and that you can get them running soon.

Keep us informed on what was wrong with them or what you had to change to get them to work.
