Eibach Pro kit cut or don't cut the bumpstop

I just bought the eibach pro kit for my 2004 honda civic ex and I was wondering if I should cut the bumpstops. The instructions say to cut the fronts 30mm. Did anyone with the eibach pro kit cut there bumpstops. If so did you have any problems cutting them.

...

I don't know about the drop of the pro kit
but w/ -1,75 Neuspeed sport, I did not cut the bottom out
bumper and everything work perfectly. These bumpers
compress w/ large impact so I think you should keep
them in place.

Philippe.

I'd go by what Eibach says and cut the bumpstop. If there wasnt a reason I'm sure they would of saved the user the trouble.

i put the pro-kit on my '01 a few weeks ago... i cut the first hump of the rears off (about 30mm) but left the front alone. they're made of a soft foam rubber and were not difficult to cut at all.

Your an inch lower now so the risk of bottoming out now is greater. Bottoming out more frequently will make for a rougher ride and put more stress on the suspension components which can lead to other problems like pre-mature wearing. I'd follow what the manufacturer says, or when in doubt call them up.

On the front, its the upper part of the dust cover. They look like little donuts on top of each other. In the rear, theyre a foam piece(kinda yellow in color) that slides over the shock shaft.
