like the topic says... who has 1/0 in their car pushed thru the grommet on the passenger side where that cluster of wires goes thru? how did you get it through there, just a straightwire and patience? where does the wire run thru the passenger side once you have it there?

your reply isn't needed unless you run 1/0 ga, thanx

I did it in my car by taping it to the 4 awg I had in there and pulling it through, but on Havok2k1's car I taped it to a coathanger and pushed it through. We ran TWO 1/0 lines through that grommet with no problem.

On my car I ran it between the seat and the side rail, through the holes in the body crossmembers on the floor. In Havok's we ran it under the center console.

FYI a little silicone spray on the grommet and wire makes going through and pulling the wire much easier. Also be carefull and don't rip the OEM wires in the bundle...they are fragile.

take some long nose pliers and push them thru from the inside out--this takes two people, then open the pliers and from engine well, put wire inside, clamp down and pull thru.

^^ The coathanger method is sooo much easier...you don't have you try and shove the 1/0 through the existing hole. With the coathanger you are making a NEW hole and pushing the wire through it. Just wrape the end of the wire tightly to the coathanger with electrical tape so you get kind of a taper so it slides through without getting caught.

I'm gonna try taping it to my old wire when I remove it and just pull it through as the other one comes out

^^ that should work no problem, just make sure the tape is really tightly secured...I would recomend ducttape and then some silicone spray over it to facilitate smooth sliding.
