the skunk 2 manifold will not fit it would hit the fire wall, because of the longer straight runners. I am interested in y8 mani fitment also.
I have modded one to fit but its not installed yet there are two holes to hog out on the flange and the ports need to be opened up a lil bit. You can use the factory injector flange as a template. I welded a flange on mine to use the d17 TB because its a lil bigger.

if i get a ported d16y8 manifold and new fuel rail and injectors thats good right then i just got to drill out those to holes. and for the throttle body i can just use a bigger d16 one that will fit right up
Well as far as wiring i think you may have to wire up the old stye injector plugs, not sure though. I already have mine wired for RCs. Also the idle control unit is different. You will probably need a d16 TB and idle control. This is the other reason why I welded our style flange on, no frigging with the Idle control. other than that you will need to either tap a spot on the manifold for the map sensor or use one of the 3/8 ports and rig up a vacuum line to it.
i bet it would work good for na apps too. I ran it without the charge pipe connected and it actually pulled a lil more in the top end. with boost it works awesome though. Def worth the work. If anyone needs a flange welded on a y8 manifold let me know. I have made up cnc machined flanges that accept factory o-ring gasket. Makes the swap easier. I cant give them away but ill only charge what I need to get all the stuff and for the shipping.
Yeah I could do that I suppose. Id need a manifold and the fuel rail/injectors for it I can port it out/ gasket match, change the flange, and all the other stuff for like $200 + shipping. You guys will just hafta wire up some old style injector clips and cut up a cai to fit. I can adapt that rail to take our style fuel line and Ill make a block off plate for the pressure regulator. If you wanna convert to a return system you can take off the plate and add the aem regulator after. so for like 300 bucks you could have a real manifold depending on the price you get for the parts.
