If I was to clear out my headlights and paint the housing black, and take the amber strip thing out, will it still be legal or would i have to buy, uh i dont know a yellow light bulb??

you can have white turn signals but it would technically be illegal cause without the amber piece you have no reflector.

what if i got a yellow light bulb and put it into the directionals part of the headlight, or painted the light bulb yellow, i mean what cop would really look at my headlights and be liek, uh yea, thats illegal

your headlights need a reflector and thats what the amber piece carries. if you remove the amber piece and throw in a yellow bulb, you can still receive a fix-it ticket for it because it doesnt have a reflector on it.

IMO, i would try clearing the amber piece then throw in a yellow bulb. not sure if white is fine, but yellow just to be safe cause like you said; cops are d!cks and do anything to make income off tickets ( no disrespect to kyle,injencivic, and other policemen here). i hate the policemen in my town

The reflector is not in the amber piece. It is located just underneath it. If you clear your headlights you are just removing a little plastic filter and that's it. The reflector lies in the vacant spot under the turn signal.

you have to have amber or orange to the front and red to the rear.
