What Oil/Gas are you Turbo Members Running?

For those of you that are turbo, what kind of oil do you use? Also, what gas do you use for daily driving and for the track?

This guy is right. 5W-20 IS the weight of oil that is recommended for our engines by Honda but the dealers were the first ones to recommend to me that 5w-30 be used instead because it was slightly cheaper and just as effective...this was way back when the car was brandnew and I was letting the dealer do oil changes for me. Personally, I think 10w-30 and 10w-40 may be too heavy for our engines and synthetic just isnt worth the money IMO so I use castrol gtx (conventional) 5w-30, even though I'm not boosted yet, but I dont plan on changing oil types when the time comes either.

I use Mobil 1 10w30, have for about 30,000 miles, it works nicely. I just started using 91, cuz I just got boosted. 91 is the highest at a lot of places here, occasionally you find 93. There is agas station down the street from me with 105 octane I believe. I dont need that now though. Wouldnt that apply to the same as not using 91 or 93 on a stock motor? Like too high of octane? Or is something different with race fuel? Like it burns up just as easily? Doesnt make sense to me, doesnt seem like Our compression would use that up.

Sorry, its all confusing, Im laying on the floor typing, cuz Im trying to fix our stupid network, POS, Belkin router sucks. Gets on the net, but not networked. Wont even let me install the program on ANY computer, so I need to refund this POS and get a Cisco made one.

It doesnt matter what octane level you use as long as its 85 or above , thats what it says in the car manuel. Also dont use more than 10% Ethanol and one other type cant remember... Its recommended that all turbo users use premium gas. Thats 93 around here. Ahh Oil... 5W-20 right now but I've been told use synthetic and engine should last 200k miles+. Synthetic oil lasts longer, doesnt break down, all around better, and I dont see the need to change before every 5k miles unless its sat for a winter or you give it hell a lot of the time. (sorry ended up longer than i intended)

considering this is in the F/I forum and the title of this thread contains "turbo members" ....... it does matter.
